David commenced his transition to retirement in July 2025 but continues to provide insightful advisory services to clients of the practice
David is a Tax Specialist and has worked in the tax and accounting field since 1982. David spent several years early in his career working in the ATO. He joined the Abbotts Group in 1997 and became a Partner of the practice in July 2000.
David holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Western Australia, he is a Chartered Accountant, a registered Tax Agent and a Chartered Tax Adviser. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Law from Curtin University and a Certificate in Financial Planning from the Securities Institute of Australia. David enjoys building strong long term client relationships and being able to assist them through both the good and not so good times.
As well as solving compliance issues, David has assisted clients in many aspects of their business and personal lives.
David is married with two children and enjoys water sports, golf, cycling and going to the gym.
