As expected, the Reserve Bank of Australia has left the cash rate unchanged at its monthly board meeting.
The performance of the housing market was likely a key topic of discussion amongst RBA board members, with CoreLogic’s October results released today showing a further 0.5% rise in dwelling values across the capital cities. Also, the slight lift in inflation released last week would have added to today’s decision to leave the cash rate unchanged.
